Hailing all the way from the land of cheese is one of The Rangers newest additions, Cory! Having been with the team for less than a year, Cory has cemented himself as a formidable player on the field, and even volunteered to be the teams new registrar! Here is your player profile:
What is your favorite thing about or place in Tacoma?
I can play sports outside all year round without worrying about snow.
When did you make your competitive debut for the Rangers?
Grit City 2018
What is your favorite thing about the club?
My teammates. There are some real characters on the squad. Not much for dull moments.
Do you prefer Gaelic Football or Hurling? What Position?
Definitely prefer football (at least for now). Half-forward is probably my favorite position.
What was your previous club(s)?
None, new to GAA
What is your ‘motivation music’?
80’s hardcore punk is usually my go to, but never can go wrong with some Rebel songs
What would you change about your game?
Break less hurls……
What is your funniest GAA/Rangers quote or memory?
Way to many inside jokes to mention, but probably “the kinder, gentler Tacoma Rangers”
What are your hobbies and interests outside the Rangers?
Hiking/Camping/anything outdoors, wrenching on my truck, running, watching elite/professional sports (Go Badgers and Brew Crew!), and beer (I did grow up in Wisconsin after all)
What is the best piece of advice you were given?
Which way the toe of the hurl goes and why. Knowing the reason why definitely helped me with getting that down to execute my lifts better.
If you could host a dinner with any 3 guests (alive or dead), who would you invite?
Elon Musk, Anthony Bourdain, and Jaromir Jagr
What is your proudest GAA/Rangers memory or accomplishment?
Seeing as I haven’t scored in a match yet, probably taking the field for the first time in the Rangers kit at Grit City.
In 10 years the Rangers will be:
The strongest and best traveling 4 code club in the division. UTR!
